A Friday night double-shooting took the life of Jackson's second homicide victim of the new year. A release from Jackson Police Department says the shooting took place in the 100 block of Ford Avenue. Shortly before 8 p.m., officers responded to a home and found two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. One, a 40-year-old man, was shot in the leg and was transported to an area hospital.
