Three suspects have been arrested following a morning shooting in Jasper County. Quaddarris Margun Sumlin, 25, Travis Kentrell Bunch, 25, and 21-year-old Keyshad Donnell Arrington have been arrested in connection with the murder of 18-year-old Mercedes Angelique Dudley and the aggravated assault of 18-year-old Rosalind Tykiara Taylor.
A south Jackson home was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived at the scene early Friday morning. The fire was reported just before 2 a.m. on Woody Drive and Woodburn Street.
Two men are facing attempted murder charges in connection with a shooting over a dice game, Pearl police said. A 21-year-old man was shot in the shoulder about 9 p.m. Sunday in the 800 block of George Kersh Drive, police said. Witnesses told investigators that the man was shot after he refused to pay another man during a game of dice, according to a news release
